This jewellery takes inspiration from the Astrantia flowers used in Charlotte Rowe’s Award winning “No Man’s Land Garden” at Chelsea flower show in 2014.
Folklore suggests that these flowers are stars that have fallen from heaven and their symbolic meaning is ‘strong, brave protector’. A fitting symbol for the soldiers who have served their country so faithfully.
This product is handmade by the Hope Jewellery Project which provides training and fairly paid work for women living in the shanty towns of Lima, Peru. By working with this project these women are able to educate their children and secure a better future for their families.
Product composition: pendant - silver plated brass, chain - silver plated steel
Size: pendant 2cm x 2cm, length of chain 45cm
