The Frontline Walk: Following in the footsteps of those who fought
Authors: Steve Roberts & Terry Whenham
Foreword: Brigadier (Retd) Robin Bacon
This book tells the story of The Frontline Walk, an event raising funds for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. The walk covers 100km across the former battlefields of the Western Front. The book uncovers the stories behind those who have participated in the walks since 2014, why they took part and how it has helped them discover more about their forebears, many of which served in the First World War on the very terrain the walk covers. It also tells the stories of those who have been affected by conflict and the work that the charity has done to help rebuild their lives. Illustrated throughout and with accompanying maps, this book can be used to uncover the routes taken and explore the stories behind those and the actions of the time with proceeds going towards the ongoing work of the charity.

Good pictures, easy to read and good documentation.
The Frontline Walk is a marvellously designed and edited book. It is very easy to read and encompasses human interest stories from the past to the present. It is rare to find such clarity in personal experience writing. I think the families, like mine, who lost relatives in wars, particularly World War One, will be delighted with this book which keeps alive the memory of those who were lost.
It is a pleasure helping raise much needed funds for this wonderful charity. The book is well written and I was pleased to be mentioned in it, great memories
